The only thing authentic about Ariana's music was her passion for having affairs or helping men having affairs

Literally every pop star who survives the industry without implosion is playing a character. 

It is an idealised, curated and stylised version of themselves. And through it they share what they want to share through their music. 

Don't kid yourself and think and one you listen to is doing otherwise. Unless they are showing clear signs of their mental health degrading.
