Sorry for the following diatribe...but to be completely honest, I don't think this rhetoric will work on his supporters. You're not wrong to bring this stuff up because a huge political talking this past election was the "price of eggs," among other things, but I don't think his supporters care that much. He's been in the political sphere for the past 10 years. At this point, people know what they're getting with him. Idk, maybe I'm being super pessimistic, but I think we have to accept the fact that talking points like this aren't going to work anymore. It's all about the theatre and wanting to come across as someone who's "for the working class." It's not about results or actually making things better; it's about feeling like you're supporting someone who's campaigning on doing so.
