Battle 4 Ur Life 6,461
I have zero complaints about Plastic Doll. one of the best instrumentals of Chromatica and it has a lot of charm and the ashknikko (misspelled probably) is one of the best remixes of DOC and unskippable. Again, i know it was the idea of the song because Gaga would never portrait a message like that, but lyrically it could be more fortunate. I believe when she says "If you're a real boy" -- She's referring to a secure man who isn't threatened by and doesn't feel the need or want to control his partner (Gaga) and how they act, look and/or dress. She's "bouncing off the walls" because she's out of (her partner's) control. She doesn't want to be treated like she's a dress-up doll to make any insecure man feel better about himself. She wants a relationship where she is equal. 。゚☁ glued up, sometimes it's too much ☁ ゚。

hamartia 29
It's not my fave, but I find the Malibu Gaga part interesting and I think it speaks more broadly to the Traumatica sessions as a whole. The rest of the song is kinda meh (imo), but in that part she somehow covers: 1. The sentiment that she "changed" after she went from outsider to industry darling after joining the ~Hollywood elite~ 2. Feeling unworthy of her own mental health issues because she's rich and famous, and general commentary on how celebrities are expected to tolerate being treated like objects (what's the literal price tag, but also what's the price tag on fame ) 3. Feeling like her vulnerability is viewed by the world as just a new Gaga persona and a means to seem more authentic, endearing herself to the public/the fans again after becoming more isolated Pretty deep stuff for the I-E-I-E song (Chromatica is not my favourite, but I really liked being able to see that underneath the kindness punk, love yourself vibe she's cultivated, she really is just as hard on herself and just as self critical as everyone else is ) Edited 8 hours ago by hamartia
Starmie25 15,213
The production was lowkey giving "Abracadabra" before "Abracadabra" tbh

I like it melodically; lyrics are out of the Chromatica context for me (at least the way those lyrics are worded). I always skip it and place the 911 Dawn remix instead, pretending it's a long ass song Edited 7 hours ago by elegidadedios
Coldish 2,313
One of her best songs. I'll never understand why it's so universally hated.
