It was entirely because of Troy and Gaga's relationship falling apart honestly.

She continues to stick with Bobby 'cause he sees her as more than a set of dollar signs. He's managed to get her to new peaks of popularity and illustrious positions like the HTS without compromising her health and well-being.

THAT is a good manager.

And I'm not just saying that 'cause we have direct/indirect contact with the man, I truly mean it. There's a lot of ways to criticize her team, he's absolutely not a person deserving of the criticism.

Yeah, but that's different. What I mean is that we're saying "Michael should do this, Michael should do that", instead of focusing on Gaga. On top of that, we're asking him to change Gaga's team, which seems a bit off. I believe the one with the final say here is always Gaga, even if she obviously gets help from Michael and accepts the majority of his suggestions, so it's strange we're referring to Michael directly in this regard.

My point is: we shouldn't diminish Gaga's autonomy just because she's the partner of a powerful and wealthy man with connections that obviously knows what he's doing. That's just seems like a very patriarchal way of thinking.

i understand Troy put Gaga through lots of exhaustion - but I feel like Bobby is consistently doing the bare minimum, despite how hard Gaga feels like working. I just feel like he could put in more work and effort into ways to promote Gaga without working her to death.

well I think we saw Gaga hang on to people she should've left sooner- Richy for example.  I think she does tend to prioritize friendship over business and keep her friends employed, even when they may not be on par with HER.  I just feel bobby should be managing someone smaller than Gaga . but he was never a manager UNTIL her because he's her friend so he got that lucky friendship/business promotion. idk

its just my opinion.

I do think Michael is increasingly becoming more and more involved in Gaga's work and now we are finally seeing, in my opinion, Gaga delivering material that feels more ON PAR with what and who she is. 

but I'll stop talking about gaga and her management cuz I dont think ppl like to see it being discussed/critiqued here

He picked up Gaga from ARTPOP and helped her build her image as a respected and versatile artist who makes quality music and acts well.

Believing in her Tony collabs, booked several acclaimed Oscars performances, booked the Super Bowl HTS, helped her get the ASIB role, scored a number 1 hit despite covid for ROM, turned her from a streaming poison to one of the highest played artist on Spotify etc. I’m not saying that these are not Gaga’s hardwork. What I am saying is if you look at things macroscopically, the past 10 years have been amazing with Bobby by Gaga’s side.

of course we don’t see headlines about Gaga like we used in 2010 and she is no longer serving multiple airport and hotel looks on tour, but this is just probably Gaga’s decision to have more “off” time instead of living as a performance 24/7 like when she first started. 

and we just have to accept that ageism exist in pop music. I don’t think Guy Oseary is a bad manager for Madonna despite her not having a big top 10 hit in the past 15 years and not making headlines like when she used to be in her 20s. She is still seen as an icon who has amazing tours.  So as Bobby who let Gaga age gracefully and grow artistically. Do we really need to see Gaga promote like she is 25 again? The outcome would probably look like 143’s campaign.
