Santander bank (Copacabana concert sponsor) leaves comments on RDT insta post

According to Lauro Jardim's column for O Globo, Gaga's Copacabana concert will be officially announced on February 20 in a press conference by the Rio city hall.

He also shared that the institution that will sponsor the concert is the Santander bank, and that they signed a contract for the next 4 years to bring free international concerts to Copacabana every first week of May.

"The organizers of Lady Gaga's concert on Copacabana beach on May 3, which will be officially announced at a press conference organized by Rio's city hall on February 20, have closed the contract with the bank sponsoring the show.

It will be Santander, which has made it one of the pillars of its marketing to associate its image with concerts by international stars in Brazil (like Shakira, for example, who will be singing in Brazil next week).

The contract that the bank signed with Rio City Hall to sponsor events with international artists on the sands of Copacabana, always in the first week of May, is for four years. The city has named these events "Todo Mundo no Rio" (Everyone in Rio), a brand that will already be used for Lady Gaga's concert.

The free show will start at 9pm on May 3 and is expected to be the most popular of the artist's entire career.

An area of 28,000 square meters will be used on the sand. There will be no fireworks. Screens and portable toilets will be set up along the beach and the waterfront. The scheduled end time is 23:30."

That town is Jan 6th-ed every single day by its citizens. Rio is crazy, it's noisy, it's accelerated, it's busy. And people are warm, loud, kind of rough, they show love by roasting you and making you the butt of the joke. It's kind of a street vibe everywhere. It's a city that runs on the YOLO philosophy in its veins. My boyfriend is from there and has been living away for 14 years and doesn't want to go back. The stories he tells me about his past are CRAZY. When we went there on Christmas we went to a huge unofficial "carnival block party" on December 23rd in the middle of the night walking through the streets with a huuuuuge crowd following a popcorn cart playing loud music. There, you feel like you can do ANYTHING and you won't be judged or stopped. It's a good free vibe (for a while, then you wanna settle).
