The supernatural is just our monkey brains creating imaginary answers to questions we don't know the answers to. People used to think a horse and carriage pulled the sun across the sky and boring a hole into your skull to let out demons would heal illness. A lot of that superstition still exists as religion (organized or otherwise) and the belief in "souls" or "spirits".
