The Treasury Department has just granted Elon Musk access to the same federal payment system that handles Social Security, tax refunds, and government benefits. This is completely unheard of, and we should all be alarmed. This means Musk now has direct access to everyone’s financial and personal information. This isn’t just some banking privilege; this is the U.S. government's core financial infrastructure. This is dangerous because Musk and his wealthy friends could use this access to benefit themselves. He could prioritize payments for billionaires and corporations while slowing down or cutting off payments for regular people. If you depend on Social Security or tax refunds, what happens if Musk decides his friends’ businesses come first? He also has a history of retaliating against people he doesn’t like. We’ve already seen him ban journalists from Twitter/X and cut off Starlink access to Ukraine when he felt like it. Now imagine him shutting down federal payments to activists, political opponents, or entire communities he dislikes. If you criticize him, could your tax refund just disappear? No private individual has ever been given this level of access before. He asked government employees to critique each others performance and name 3 people each who they think should be fired. Five of Elon's co-conspirators names were leaked and the Attorney General is prosecuting anyone who posts the names. Of the five leaked, none have a college degree. One did not finish high school.
