"She’s still a cut above the average pop star; her real competition is the ghosts of Gagas past."

I ****ing hate this kind of criticism. It's literally always told about female artists but NEVER when a man in her league does the same kind of stuff.

If the Pitchfork author were to open their mouth, at the back of their throat you would see the stick that’s shoved up their @ss

Abra Oh Na Na was my favorite line in it.  Classic Gaga.

I liked it, it felt sort of a mix of 2008-2013 Gaga stuff

Happy to see the score is pretty damn high, especially by RYM standards!

Indeed. I am so impressed. Let’s pray Abracadabra gets big in the US, and Mayhem keeps receiving critical acclaim all the way till the release. I see AOTY.

Eusexua had 9.1

Huh, I guess I'm mixing her up with someone else. Maybe it was a review of a single or Caprisongs? Idk. I know they were weirdly vicious towards Halsey, though, and I think they gave Shakira's last album a flat 7.

By Pitchfork standards though, anything above a flat 7 is generally fine imo.

I do find it annoying when (some) singers branch out, critics complain that they need to go back to their roots. And when they go back to their roots, it's another complaint.

But honestly, but Pitchforks standards the review is decent. They can be super nasty sometimes. I feel like people need to keep in mind Pitchfork and Slate rarely f*ck with her.

Battle 4 Ur Life

lol not ditchfork. I was expecting “press”. b-itchfork (plz don’t warn me I had no other choice) to me sound gibberish themselves. they worry too much about how they look in the first place.

they are actually coming hard for Gessafelistansen (I’m not checking the spelling I know it’s probably horrible, sorry) which is just how unnerving they can be. especially when Abra’s production is just marvelous.

tks ditchfork there’s cookies by the exit

Fantano and pitchfork are Gaga’s biggest haters. This single is not my absolute favorite but it’s still better than 90% of pop music released in the last year — Taylor, Sabrina etc.

Sorry but i don't agree with this statement at all. Sabrina's last album has Amazing pop Song. Very well crafted. Completely different worlds but he songwritting, how It used the qualities of her voices, the production. The character Is very clear and It Simply Is clear listening to the songs. Things go well together tò create what they're designed tò do. And the stories flow well and the sections aren't Just divided metticously its serving a narrative and a pathos. I mean i have mostly please Please in my mind.
