What do you think of the Mayhem Album Cover?

timeless, flawless. 

Maybe they used photoshop to get that effect but I suspect there is something more analog, like you can do this kind of effect with just the camera and this is what I think makes is so seamless.

Honestly ive come to quite like it. Just not very thrilled to look at her bored face or buy It. So i Hope i find the alternative at my store. 

I looked the photographer up and liked It a lot. I think the work with Gaga was okay but i don't fully understand with album nor the title with that cover nor some of the other photos. 

Overall the aesthetic for this album Isnt as clear as previous ones.

I like it, but the store exclusive and the one where she looks a bit crossed eyes are truly iconic, but perhaps a bit too alternative for the GP, so they ultimately made the right choice for the standard edition ^^

The album cover matches her inspirations for the album & clearly speaks to her inspirations and creative force behind the album based on what she's revealed in interviews. 

My main gripe is that it feels way too much like a recreation of the artists that have inspired it, rather than a new addition to the catalogue if you get me?

i think it's good, not her best but after she explained it, it made a lot of sense and you can see the vision behind it

however i do wish this was the standard cover:

i think it's way more interesting and better polished and gives off a really cool marilyn manson/NIN vibe that i adore

it does make me believe that the objectively better album covers were intentionally used as alternates as a marketing ploy cus ngl, i'm gunna need every vinyl cover

My only complaint is that I wish the picture has a higher contrast. It's too gray. That said, I believe that they selected the right one for the standard cover from the photoshoot. The vinyl special editions are either too weird or too incomprehensible. They picked the one that will work well with the GP.

I was just going to say this too! It’s a great cover, but it’s too soft, needs a boost in contrast

I think its unexciting and won't stand out on a shelf. Whether it fits the music is yet to be seen.
