Honestly this entire thing seems really messy. It's hard not to feel sorry for Justin Baldoni at this stage because the narrative that currently seems to be true is that this was a guy who was directing his first major movie because he wanted to raise awareness about DV now being painted as being a sexual predator because his costar is upset that she was unable to use the movie as an opportunity to successfully launch her hair care brand and her beverages and is blaming him for the financial loss. Her entire suit hinges on financial loss and monetary damages, and does not mention mental health/trauma or a desire to raise awareness for other victims so they will speak up, which honestly feels really icky and cynical to me...

And if this is the truth, it's a really sad truth to me.

Also worth noting that Blake's lawsuit isn't to sue for being allegedly sexually harrassed. She's suing because she is alleging she was smeared in the press as retaliation for the alleged harrassment and has incurred financial loss as a result. Those are two completely different motivations for suing...

Let's not forget she conspired with a newspaper to take him down but is now trying to "gag" his legal representation and also trying to avoid being deposed by his lawyer ...

I would recommend amending the title of the thread to focus on Lively v. Baldoni and to link to the actual website with both the lawsuit and the evidence rather than the TMZ article. I think it'd be more informative that way.

Not just that but a huge part of the dispute is that Blake was "upset" that Baldoni did not like "her" rewrite of "the rooftop scene". Only to then reveal on the red carpet that Ryan wrote that rewrite. Like wtf?

Going back to this, if the alleged texts by Blake are true, she did go on the record saying this to him:
"if you knew me (in person) longer you’d have a sense of how flirty and yummy the ball busting will play. It’s my love language. Spicy and playfully bold, never with teeth….”

She's lucky he's not suing her for sexual harassment with language like that!!

EDIT: also forgot that Ryan Reynolds allegedly sent a text where he claims he would "tattoo the producer's face" to his "perineum" if JB could change BL's schedule so that she could be home with her family more. Then he goes on to describe how the perineum is "one of the most nervy parts of the human body to expose to trauma". The fact they think it's alright to speak to JB with language like this but will then say he's not allowed to say "haha your spray tan smells good" as a joke is absolutely insane.
