I mean Hold The Girl has some amazing highs (and some really low lows) but you are spot on

Imagining and Frankenstein are incredible. But far too many lows in the album. 

I’m drawing some parallels with the albums as I listen to Mayhem. I couldn’t help but think of them. Mayhem really succeeds in areas where Hold The Girl failed to do.

I also have to say this:

Does anyone feel like she prioritized this time around the sound (she's a main producer and it shows) and the lyrics - musically - as an over all feeling instead of restricted songs? An idea that was always attached to every Gaga album was a strong definition / concept to each track, but none of these projects are ironically as solid as this one. Lyrics and concepts merge from one song to the next one. I'm personally AMAZED how she changed directions even on this issue

Am I explaining myself? Does anyone get the same vibe?

I LOVE HOW SHE CATERS EVERY SINGLE FANS WITH THIS ALBUM.

For me, Perfect celebrity is my sound... I'd say this is her best song - probably her best work in past two decades..

I am crying happily, I am dead for grunge - metal influence in this song

 

I am sure she creates HBDYLM - taylor's version - to cater her new fans who love generic sound lol. It's pure chaos like she said. I am sure one of you will have one song you don't really like in this album.

 

 I can say is this album theme is " This is for my fans - I will give each of my fans what they like, but of course, you guys have each different taste, so here is, I am sure at least you will like one of my song"

Ok ,I just I finished listening. Definitely the sound wasn't what I expected based on the aeshetics but I liked every song on it .Vanish into you and perfect celeb my faves .It's gonna take some time to completely grow to me (same thing happened with ARTPOP and chromatica for me),but I really love it.One of her most cohesive albums ,but it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea ,I think
