hmm i really don't know kow to feel about this album.. i was extremely hyped for it, especially after disease and abracadabra but i never thought that like 80% of the album would be disco/funk type of songs

idk i feel like the singles and the aesthetic of the album doesn't fit in with the actual sound, it was totally misleading

however, you can really tell she is happy and passionate about music once again, so i think that's the most important thing!!

also don't judge me, this is just my personal and honest opinion

This album is truly incredible 

Current favorites: Perfect Celebrity, Can’t Stop The High, Shadow Of A Man, Don’t Call Tonight, How Bad Do U Want Me, LoveDrug, Zombieboy, Vanish Into You but enjoying everything honestly. This is one of the best releases she’s ever had, period.

Just listened to Cant Stop The High, hmmm it is rock but Disease and P.Celeb are still harder I reckon, it's only my first listen

After a first listen, my opinion is that the album started incredibly strong! I loved tracks 1-5! When I got to Killah, Zombieboy, and LoveDrug, I got a little bored. Those three tracks just don’t speak to me right now. I got a little sad because I thought that’s how I would feel about about the rest of the album but then…How Bad Do You Want Me came on. I think this is an unpopular opinion based on some tweets I’ve seen but I just loved that song very much! It’s just so pleasing to my ears. As of right now it’s my favorite new track.  Loved the rest of the album as much as the first part!!! 
 

It’s my personal opinion that this feels like the first complete album by Gaga since BTW. ARTPOP, Joanne, and Chromatica all have some highs but I’ve always thought that there are songs on those records that are half-baked. Every song on here feels fully realized!

The way I’m loving the entire album  My thought throughout the whole album was “Ooohh that’s sexy!” It’s definitely some of her best work to date imo. But I still have to have a few more listenings.

Soooo Mayhem absolutely slays omg  

Her descriptions of the sound were so spot on, and it really feels like the most quintessential 'Lady Gaga Album' possible - where it's full of everything that she loves but she's doing it her way. 

Imo Mayhem is BTW's sophisticated older sister, and it shows a lot of growth as an artist in general but especially as a songwriter. I think working with the same people throughout really helped it to stay on track and it doesn't sound as 'noisy' as BTW does sometimes, despite being just as busy.

If anything I was a bit confused as to when the 'mayhem' was supposed to kick in as it all feels very cohesive to me and flows together so nicely. My only real complaint is that Bruno is so prominent on DWAS that after sobbing to Blade of Grass I was like 'wait, why is Bruno Mars here?' lmao 

I really, really love the album and I'm so grateful that she made this for us to enjoy. It was worth the wait and you can tell she put so much care and effort into it
