I was hoping for that, but after the Zombieboy clip in the video and Garden of Eden clip yesterday, this made more sense. The insane levels of funkiness blew my tits clean off though.

I think this is the right way to go. Its definitely not the „dark pop“ all them basic monsters were craving for (at least in their head) but she gave us something so much better, because its been unexpected once again. Each song stands on their own and i appreciate this more and more as i listen to it. I said it before and ill say it again, where Chromatica lacked for me is the blender of production and more or less putting every song through the same filter created. And she talked about this yesterday in the Apple interview, where her first impulse after PC was to run with this sound and make an entire record out of it and im so happy she didn't. PC at this point is my fave song on the album, but an entire record of of it would have been overdoing it, i think. 

And there still is a through line through the entire album - i was worried its gonna be totally disconnected, but it all makes sense ! Her mind, yet again
