We all know gaga did well with what she was given for this movie. And to be clear, I liked the movie and gaga has NO fault on this mess, she gave everything she had to it, both inside and outside the screen. This isn't fair and I wish I knew some voodoo. It is the most nominated film overall, even though it didn't get the worst reviews. I cannot believe the disrespect. If there's one thing the critics agreed upon it's that the acting wasn't the problem. I don't get those of you saying she should show up and accept it with grace if she wins. What they've done to her is disgraceful. They're literally just picking on her because she's a singer-turned-actress (they love to pick on those) and she's in a movie that was panned (even though she was the best part about it). Joaquin should be even more furious as he's up for worst actor even though his acting in the first movie was praised and won an Oscar and here, he plays the character the exact same way and gets Razzie nominated. Absolutely appalling. You can say it's "not serious" all you want but even being nominated for Razzies, and worse, winning them, have seriously derailed some actors careers. Yes, Oscar winners like Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock won them but they already won an Oscar beforehand (it must be noted that they never won again after their Razzie win). Without a previous acting win to back her up, Gaga's acting career could suffer considerably if she wins this. The Razzies used to be about nominating performances that were legit bad. Now they're just nominating for the hell of it. If the movie sweeps, there's something seriously wrong. And personal. I can only imagine that anyone who says it deserves to sweep is not familiar with Borderlands and Madame Web. That worst actress Razzie is Dakota Johnson's to lose and she's won Razzies before, as has Jennifer Lopez. It's not her fault if she wasn't directed right or the script changed, all that is out of an actor's control. She's been lowkey for months but you can't hide forever. If she shows up and collects the award with a funny speech it might turn the situation around for her.
