The app is LITERALLY locking 10s of millions of Americans out as of an hour ago - with a message saying “Daddy Trump will save us 🥹” Trump saving this will come across as the next $1200 checks like god Dems are so incredibly stupid and ALLERGIC to winning. Hope the radical z!0nism was worth it for them. Also Biden’s last act will be seen as one of taking freedom away and Trump will come in the next day to save us! And of course the ignorant majority will eat it up. It’s so boring and predictable.
REALITY 80,165
I fully expect TikTok to come back and it’ll garner Trump more youth support. Republicans are gonna be very powerful these next four years. Let’s hope they f*ck up enough so people get it through their thick skulls that this party is awful. This is why so many people have problems with Dems bc they’re supposed to hold Republicans accountable and they don’t. It’s not a talking point. Everyone including the Supreme Court is on board with the ban. The public is not. So Trump “changed his mind” during the election and will come in as a savior. Morphine Prince 109,663
Anyone know anything about law? Can this actually be easily reversed? How can it not be enforced? Will Tik Tok HAVE to be sold to another company in order to be reinstated?

It is, because Biden should have been smart enough to shut this ban **** down - but they’re so thirsty to come across as “tough adults in the room who stand up for America!!” they bent. Trump being the hero and villain in a crack pot conspiracy to gag TikTok wouldn’t matter on this day, if the Dems hadn’t made this a reality
thatfoxyfeeling 13,401
Dems are a joke for allowing this to happen, Trump is gonna get so many young people on his side when he lifts the ban.
Franch Toast 27,737
I saw some Canadians complaining they couldn't access TikTok either. Not sure if it's just Canadians close to the US border or is some kind of glitch... She/Her/Hers

They shouldn’t just pass or not pass things based off how politically advantageous it is. Of course that’s the game Trump is playing and he is playing it masterfully for the uninformed. It’s ****ed but if you’re not meeting people where they are, you’re not meeting people period. The smart activists realized this and built a platform on the app. This isn’t how you get people to care about other issues like they’re just gonna be pissed off. This looks so bad for Biden and the Dems like there is no white washing this. What does "meeting people where they're at" look like in this circumstance? It's not the youth; it's just people at this point. And yeah, smart ones used the app to speak more directly to others, but the app is gone now for the time being. Do we need to have a national funeral and tribute for an app before bringing up the fact that raids are about to happen? F*ck Biden and f*ck the dems. They suck. We get it. We can blame whoever we want but at the end of the day, some of our neighbors are gonna get dragged out of their homes. So what's a good way to get that message across without pissing the youth off because tiktok? How do we meet people where they're at and let them know that their community might be the next one to get torn apart because of new wave nazi sh*t? This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. PartySick 172,539
Y'all are mad but at least most Americans can still have a wank NOT US OF COURSE Spoiler Full disclosure, I don't use this site 'cause p*rn ain't my thing but still what tf is happening Whimsical bitch
Morphine Prince 109,663
Another thing to note is Biden went on board with Congress and even SCOTUS agrees it could go through. Biden should have just vetoed it but he also went on board because he agreed with the ban. In terms of optics the Biden admin should have forced further review for implementing the ban OR come up with an actual solution such as which companies US operations could be sold to. Trump is easily being handed a win because Democrats suck at optics.
Phoenix Rises 954
we have 170 million pissed off americans now. they should vote out every politician that voted for the ban spread love ,kindness & compassion 👹🖤!!!!

I do agree most on both sides wanted this. Like… My view is that republicans are crazy stupid evil people that must be stopped. I know they championed this. They’re trash. I’m not surprised. I expected this. They’ll always be bad. So, yeah my anger is with Dems bc this should have never passed the Senate or Biden’s desk. But they go along with so much of the right’s BS so here we go: a new PR mess to untangle. 2 minutes ago, Roughhouse Dandy said: What does "meeting people where they're at" look like in this circumstance? It looks like: not trying to ban the app bc they’re mad at pro palestinian activists or whatever, and actually utilizing it to spread good info. Thats literally it. They were doing a good job at this bare minimum requirement until recently. TikTok would have been the perfect platform to spread visual awareness through evidence of people getting dragged out of their homes - sort of similar to how the body cam footage of the George Floyd murder spread like wildfire and ignited a movement. But now, its users are more divided than ever across multiple apps, making that feat, and so much more harder. - and no it won’t be a serve when Trump restores the app, bc it’ll be the next “ohh he saved me with those $1200 checks” moment. TEANUS 16,140
Everyone blaming Biden for the optics of this and still believing he even knows what “TikTok” is absolutely hilarious. I fully believe for at least the better half of his presidency he’s literally been mentally incapacitated and had to be reminded constantly of what he was doing. The evidence is everywhere. The people to blame are congress British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS
Jill 31,812
1 hour ago, Morphine Prince said: Trump always creates solutions to things he started, this is nothing new to those who pay attention. Biden and Democrats are just laughably bad at politics. Funnily enough this is Trump and Republicans: “An out-of-touch right wing elitist party with an old senile guy at the top and a whole lot of big donors that don't know the first thing about the struggles of the median American worker, and who prefer to hunt down false demons like China instead of actually working to make things better in their own country.” And who said they weren't? All I'm saying is that Democrats are, too. The difference is that Republicans were able to read the writing on the wall and offer a reactionary position to accompany all other similar positions around the world. These positions originated as a direct response to the advancement of the China-Russia-Global South alliance, and the GOP both started them and adopted them as well. The Democrats were left in a very awkward position because the only way to navigate this situation relatively cleanly was to adopt a progressive stance aligned with these changing times. However, as one of the two major parties in an inherently reactionary imperialist power, such a move was considered absolute heresy. Instead, they went with the second-best option, which is far from adequate and not even close to sufficient. Nowadays, the American bourgeoisie has fully aligned themselves with Trump for the same reason: they see their businesses and interests being threatened, both abroad and domestically, due to the rapidl changing circumsances and a more than obvious display of American decline. The "pro-worker" rhetoric of the GOP (though false, it exists) was the final nail in the coffin. Not to mention, Trump exhibited a relative openness to dialogue with both foreign and domestic actors heavily alienated by the Biden administration. You could see this disaster coming a mile away. Yet, the majority of the American people responded by simply "getting out and voting", as if that would change anything. It's almost laughable. I'm not talking about Americans who are on the streets helping and creating collective alternatives, but about the privileged middle class who thinks they know everything and believes that voting once every four years is the only way to enact change. As I said, everything about this was highly predictable given the international context and the nature of the United States and Americans themselves. There's no one else to blame. It didn't come out of nowhere, it wasn't a random series of events. "Fascism" didn't suddenly wakeup in 2023, 2020. or 2016 in an otherwise "very healthy" democracy. No healthy democracy lets these things pass. No healthy democracy leaves people like Nixon, Reagan, Hillary, or Obama unscathed, either. Former First Lady of the United States.
