DWAS is just a hit. No one can deny that, it's an amazing song and they both did just great to make it perfect ❤️

That's 'cause you're chosing to ignore Silk Sonic, which was a huge success too and you can tell it was Bruno carrying 'cause Anderson Paak is doing nothing in terms of success

the same way people choose to ignore ASIB because it's not a solo gaga project.  I'm not denying brunos success but its funny to give him all the credit for the success of a collaborative song when he himself hasnt had a solo project in a decade and isn't shy to give gaga her credit.

This is actually a really decent article. I thought it would be something from a hater based on the comments here, but it kind of just lays out the facts. Chris Molanphy is a great pop music and chart analyst who has been writing about Gaga for years.

Same I thought this was a well written and interesting piece

Dont waste to time to read it, ive just wasted it

Comparing Katy to Gaga is just big nonsense and the author dont know a thing about their carrers, only basing on charts position

also the last part suggesting quesyion if Gaga could stay succesfull for a longer time is a joke, like we dont need to ask this questions after ASIB,

she is and will be one of the biggest artist on the planet. She is bigger than beyonce outside US and even without DWAS she got higher streams despite Beyonce releasing new music last year, such a ridicilous article

There are some hater comments like politely putting her in Katy Perry's boat, calling her try hard and kitsh

Controversial opinion but I do not think DWAS would have been as successful or even top 10 with just Gaga on it. The GP loves Bruno Mars for his boy next door, accessible image. Gaga is still considered outlandish and too out there for casual listeners (just look at Disease).

I disagree..while I won't deny that it's more 60-40 bruno as opposed to 50-50, we've seen Gaga have success with AC ballads on her own and carrying a non-artist. The GP loves Gaga ballads. They would love this too. If this was disease with Bruno Mars, it'll be a front loaded hit at best.

I mean you're asking about a succesful solo project and you're getting the answer about it. He hasn't released a solo album since 2016 so of course is gonna be almost a decade old.

That's 'cause you're chosing to ignore Silk Sonic, which was a huge success too and you can tell it was Bruno carrying 'cause Anderson Paak is doing nothing in terms of success

Well Anderson paak gave it r&b credibility. Without it, it's a non black guy trying to pass off as a soul singer. Also Gaga carried Bradley cooper but nobody every mentions that.

I think given all of these facts, Gaga should stick to jazz or pop jazz for the rest of her musical career, often doing some American Songbook albums or maybe Broadway re-recordings like Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand, who were very succesful in that regard.

Maybe this is why your husband lost the election. :icant:

The article has the same energy as that video of someone reading Anaconda dramatically. What was the reason for the suspense and the word choices? :icant:

This article feels somewhat misogynistic I’m not gonna lie especially talking about Female artists in a negative light for the most part.

I mean.. yea they did kinda need each other, cause Gaga is one of the most amazing vocalists and the song wouldn't be where it is if it had like Katy Perry, Sabrina or idk Olivia cause we saw with Rosé it wasn't as huge.

On the other side,  yea Gaga kind of has a hard time having solo hits considering she's not the omnipresent figure she once was. And honestly if Disease or Harlequin got the push that DWAS got they would be bigger hits, but her team slept on them.

The quality of her music is still good, improving even as time goes by (Yes Chromatica as a whole was still an amazing album and Harlequin is honestly her best jazzy album), but she just doesn't do her projects justice outside of the music itself by not doing much pre or post realease which kind of shows on sales and chart positions.
