salty like sodium 1,079
two things... 18. Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift How ??? That can't be right. It didn't even make it to #1? And also where is Born To Die? Isn't that one of the albums that has spent the most weeks in the top 200 or something?

It's her oldest (successful) album since her debut didn't really have the same commercial impact, and was also massive when it came out. She even won an AOTY grammy for it and songs like Love Story and You Belong With Me are very much her signature songs sung at pretty much every single tour so those songs alone account for chart longevity for the album. Here's what Billboard said on Morgan wallen: "After debuting at No. 1 on the weekly list dated Jan. 23, 2021, Dangerous: The Double Album remained on top through the chart dated March 27, 2021, becoming the first album to spend its first 10 weeks at No. 1 since 1987, when Whitney Houston’s Whitney logged all 11 of its weeks in the lead from its debut." another notable example: The Fame, this album's edge vs the others is that it charted high around 2017 due to Gaga's Super Bowl, it went as high as top 10 in 2017. Of course, It already charted high even before 2017.

ManMan 889
7 hours ago, gerrygaga said: The Fame & A Star is Born were higher than Teenage Dream on Billboard's 2010s decade-end chart too. Same thing happened again here on 21st century charts: #112. A Star Is Born Soundtrack #113. Teenage Dream I think Teenage Dream had lower chart points because the album's chart positions are low (100-200) even though it has 400+ weeks inside the chart. Also facts to consider: ASIB Soundtrack: 4 weeks at #1 (and high chart positions in its first weeks) Teenage Dream: 1 week at #1 Well, teenage dream might overtake ASIB soundtrack in chart points in the future cuz it is still charting. wow,i see~~ thanks for the info 💖 I shine more in the dark. It’s based on cumulative points .. BTD might have charted for hundreds of weeks, but it’s not selling anything. The Fame sold more and collected more points during its peak in 2009-2010 to more than make up for the short period it fell off the chart compared to an album lingering the low 100s. I'm not comparing it to the fame though, I'm comparing it to Taylor Swift's Debut Album which was really high up the list... No way that album has been more relevant?
