Lmao, I don't get the negative feedback from some of you. We've been fighting for this since November, when we thought we lost for good, but guess what. We didn't. The song is one of Gaga's best releases in the very long time. I honestly can't decide which one I love more - DWAS or Disease and this fact makes me even more excited because I know LG7 has 2 great songs in it so I WON. GAGA AIN'T PLAYIN

The number of times I've been on that side of the argument :ladyhaha:

The Haus Labs stuff, the sponsorships, the Nurtec thing. Defended her through it all. Putting DWAS on the album 'cause it sold well was simply the straw that broke the camel's back for me, that's all.

How is DWAS the final straw though it’s just a song :messga:

I'm happy it got over that bump, would've been so annoying if that Bar Song would've blocked it forever

And as much as I think you can hate or like the song as much as you want, I wish fans would stop calling it Bruno's. He may have a lot to do with the initial GP reach, but he didn't write it solo.

He started out with it, I think it was the first verse, but we know he called Gaga up and they worked out the song together. I've seen both haters and Bruno fans make it sound like Gaga stole the song for LG7 or "took it" from Bruno after its success, and monsters calling it Bruno's is really not helping.

Gaga's written massive and amazing ballads before. Does anyone here really think Gaga would fake her own credit on a song if she didn't actually have lead input in it?

South Blonde

Y'all really got some nerve if you're comparing the situation nowadays with selling music in the 80s and 90s... :billie:

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

I don't think DWAS was ever affected by the Joker fiasco. I would say the number os streams were the same even during the worse

that’s my point. just saying it was smart to lay low

I remember coming home from high school and refreshing the Billboard Hot 100 all afternoon, waiting for the delayed charts to drop. Shallow was expected to finally hit #1, and for some reason, it felt like her last chance to get another number-one hit. At the time, it felt like a personal victory—like her success validated something in me.

Years later, I realized that a number-one hit doesn’t define an artist’s impact, nor does it change anything about my own life. Gaga’s music got me through my teen years, and she remains a role model whose artistry and resilience I strive to embody. But if there’s anything she’s taught us, it’s that numbers don’t dictate legacy. America loves Gaga’s voice—she will always be welcomed and celebrated.

I’m pumped for LG7, but instead of obsessing over stats, let’s just enjoy the music and share it with the people around us. That’s how her impact grows—not through charts, but through connection.

Exactly! It felt so good when Shallow hit #1 and it felt like the last smash hit she'll ever have back then :diane:

Now looking back at it, we have gotten so much greatness from her since then, even tho covid ruined many years. And having DWAS on LG7 feels so right, after what happened with Chromatica promo...LG7 will have longevity and ASIB level sales. She deserves to have another smash album (justice for Chromatica :grr:)

There's always been something about her songs that make them more enjoyable, if I know that everyone knows the song

Didn't she also ignored when "Rain On Me" went #1, or got an award? I remember Ariana publicly tagging her, and GaGa just wouldn't respond or adress the situation at all :brat:. I remember her talking about it, but much later :laughga:

She's probably getting herself up to date with the latest Amberlyn Reid's drama, I know she's got messy hobbies like that :billie:

Finally!! Very happy for her. I thought it was blocked for good :(

Am I the only one wanting the Bar Song to now get one week more at #1 to stand alone in the record books? I did like Old Town Road also though.
