Michael Buble is known for his clean-cut image but he insists that this is merely a "creation" by record label bosses as he was hedonistic when he first tasted fame.

The guy in the suit was a creation of a record company. That thing that your grandma loves – that isn’t me. It never was.”

“They’re marketing me as, ‘Your mum will love him. The more cats you have, the more adorable this guy will be,’” he continued. “As I look back now, I was just so immature, just so emotionally immature. I was like a kid in a candy store with fame. Like, ‘Oh my God, there’s all this stuff and you can buy the things you want’. I could party too.”

The fact that his public image has nothing to do with his personality was well confirmed when he uploaded that video with his wife, me thinks.

Dude used to be a cruise ship & lounge singer.

The guy in the suit image was pretty accurate.

Back in quarantine his wife and him used to do live broadcasts and there were many times that his body language was hostile against her. She would interrupt him or speak on top of him and he would elbow her or look at her angrily and she would instantly apologize to him.

After her fans were worried, she came to his defence.

His body language was weird and as a victim of domestic violence, I would say it was triggering of sorts.

Y'all are missing what he's saying (i think) so in pop terms : his record label thought it was harder to sell a non sinatra type jazz male artist so they manufactured the timeless lounge suit and tie persona that grandamas and soccer moms would swoon over (which is kinda misogynistic and so of it's time and it doesn't seem like he's shaken off that 00's attitude either tbh) and to feel like he had no say of what would be the de facto artistic image for the rest of his career is kinda frustrating, like damn he and his label really had no trust in his actual talent outside of the marketability of his image not the he had better options to breakoutbut damn it's kinda sad (like from an artistic standpoint tho I'm sure he's wiping those tears with all the money he has like he's rich as ****)
