SILENT HILL 1,703
It feels like everyone forgot many of Gaga’s albums have had a standout slow song on them. Brown eyes on The Fame, Speechless on TFM, 1000 Doves (Acoustic) on Chromatica. Dope is literally part of her most electronic dance album This literally means nothing except her album is confirmed to have good streaming numbers lol Edited 16 hours ago by SILENT HILL 2

I love her ballads, but I just think this one’s a bit milquetoast and is basically a Bruno Mars song featuring Gaga. Get your coins, girl, but best believe I will be streaming the album w/o that song. 3

Little monsters want commercial success, but when when it happens they turn into the art police and question Gaga’s “artistic integrity.” Or they say they’re excited when Gaga says the album is gonna be chaotic and full of different genres, but then they complain that Disease and DWAS aren’t “cohesive.” Or they say that she’s lost her “artistic vision” even though she’s been at her best, artistically, in YEARS. I mean, Harlequin, DWAS, and Disease?! Hello?! Some of her best projects in FOREVER and y’all are complaining that she’s now a slave to the machine and doesn’t care about her art? Stfu SAME. Usually I can handle some foolishness on here, but that thread I actually had to exit out of after the first two pages because I was so irritated with the terrible takes. The inclusion of DWAS will literally just mean more people are going to be listening to the album... it enhances both the critical and commercial appeal... what on earth is these people's problem 🤖⚡️ 3

If you don't like the song that's completely fine and valid but what isn't is melting down because you're scared that you and the lady you stan but don't actually know might get bullied online by katycats and the beyhive. Stan culture is so jobless and it's embarrassing and hilariously sad. Btw I wasn't saying you as in YOU. I meant in general lol, no hard feelings here Edited 16 hours ago by guccic0och tHeRe cAn bE oNe hUnDrEd pEoPlE iN a rOoM 6
Azelf550 986
“Music not the bling” they say, as they reference her most UNcohesive album to date. Anyways, let her live 6
The Ew from Judas 502
The amount of content she put out this year is insane and honestly I wouldn’t wish that amount of work on my worst enemy lol. This has genuinely been the most fun year I’ve been a fan of her, with so many different projects, never knowing what comes next, ups and downs, different styles etc. she’s given us the world this year-nobody asked her to make harlequin, or DWAS, and regardless of your thoughts on joker or how long it took for the CBT film to come out (wow that is a terrible acronym) we shouldn’t sell short just how much she’s made. TimotheeChalamet 4,702
To me it feels like what happened is: - They put out DWAS as a standalone single and a gift to the fans, without thinking about its success - The song smashed - They were grateful and promoted it - The song continued smashing its way to first charts position or whatever - Interscope was happy - Given the success, Gaga thought it would be a nice addition to LG7. A.k.a.: noting bad or passible of whatever you guys went through in that other thread, that should be closed tbh. For the ones complaining, grow the **** up. I hope LG7 will sound so much different than what you're expecting that you will cry every day listening to it and leave this fanbase for good. Jfc. 2School4Cool 5,990
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m fine with DWAS being on LG7 as long as it fits the album and her vision. And it seems like she’s done just that. She’s not and never will be the kind of artist to just throw a single onto an album last minute just for the sake of streams, but I fully trust her to find a way to make the song fit into the narrative of the album See The Best In Everyone
Sneaky Oliver 21,295
yeah and DWAS could be the final track on the album or even a bonus track, we literally have no idea. I don’t think it will ruin the flow or something, all Gaga’s tracklists have been amazing so far
BloodyM 1,184
DWAS is not bling? It's a song she actually loves...... and it's very clear.

Song she loves that she releases as a treat to fans is music. Guillaume Hamon 6,007
Folks scared for the cohesiveness of an album while only knowing 2 tracks from it... Sounded like a bad joke.
Guillaume Hamon 6,007
Imagine it starts super chaotic with tracks like disease then go increasingly calmer with tracks like DWAS... It could make perfect sense, we need to hear it fully before to bash LG7 as a whole. 😆
MOT 2,699
I see within this thread she is being assaulted once again with sarky references to 'music not the bling'. I've explained this a number of times over the last few years ... but... happy to go again. The full line is 'I try to sell myself but I am really laughing, because I just love the music not the bling, music not the bling'. So yes, she DOES bling, it goes with being a popstar. She is a working woman. She wants to make money. But the thing that she LOVES is the music. DOES bling, LOVES music.
