Lady Gaga talks LG7, Coachella and confirms DWAS and Gesaffelstein on the album

She said in the Rolling Stone interview about Disease that there were some dreamy moments on the album, so DWAS should fit along with those moments. She also says the album ends with love, so I’m sure there will be some other dreamy mid-tempo ballads to go along with it. I love that she’s including so many different genres on the album. It should give it massive replay value.

Instead you are ignoring:

- she wants to do Coachella justice

- a new confirmed producer

- a song that didnt make LG7 which was also a ballad, but about which she wont reveal more, because the thinks she will put it out later

I don't like ARTPOP and the main reason is how uncohesive it sounds like lol. The album is like a playlist of random songs put together. Going from EDM to pop to rap to rock to rnb back to EDM then a full depressive ballad was one of Gaga's worst idea tbh

Idk what's making others upset, cohesiveness isn't a problem 'cause ballads flow just fine into energetic albums.

The problem, for me, is that a decision was made about the album's tracklisting based purely and solely on the fact that the song did well on the charts.

It's like the antithesis of everything she used to stand for. Now whatever song was meant to close the project is no longer the closer.

The crafting of an album as a full body of work - a project with a message, narrative, and theme - is something that's always been important to me personally. LG7 has had that theme compromised two months before it's even released with a standalone single being tacked onto it for the sake of numbers and Gaga's personally trying to sell it to us as if it was always intentional and we know it wasn't.

If LG7 was re-released with DWAS as a bonus track, like Chromatica was with HMH, then it's whatever. They gotta push the product. But we're not talking about that.

The album itself is being changed solely for streams and here she is selling that decision to us. It's disappointing to say the least.

I was honestly shocked bec she said it was a standalone song. But im not upset. I feel like DWAS needs to be in an album. I wouldnt even be upset if Bruno and Gaga decides to put it on Bruno's new album. This makes LG7 more intriguing to me... it feels like Harlequin now to me but all original music.

I think the issue here is that whatever ballad was planned for LG7 was replaced for a song that even tho successful, we have already heard thousands of times

I mean, this is the same woman that forbade us from listening to Chromatica on shuffle 'cause it was so important to her for us to experience the album in the way she intended.
