Guys, this is great!!  We need to keep arguing about this, we all know she always releases something when liddos fight each other, we just need to keep this going a bit longer and she'll grace us with a Christmas present

Yeah back then vinyl wasn't a major market & vinyl pressing wait times weren't 8 to 12 weeks. If she's still tweaking it the odds of her having physicals available for the end of Feb are low. 

So she's either finished or delaying the release week.

I was thinking more BTW, ARTPOP, Joanne, and Chromatica. Every one of them tells a story from the moment you press play on track one. It's infuriating that LG7 is, assumedly, just a collection of songs. Otherwise she wouldn't be so glib about putting Bruno's song on her album to give it an automatic streaming boost.

I mean we will have to disagree about ARTPOP & Joanne telling a story from start to finish. 

And as someone's quoted in this thread or another (im on my phone and cant hunt easily lol) she described this album as a party and having twists & turns even before Disease came out and before DWAS smashed. 

I don't think we can say simply because DWAS is tagged on that the album will not have focus or synergy. ...especially not if ARTPOP told a story from start to finish 

And I do get what you are saying about the end track not being as she intended. But digital platforms will make that easily fixable. Besides knowing Gaga until they forced her to pin the tracklist down for the album to go to print, there wasn't a tracklist 😂

It deserved way better... Maybe Happy Mistake would've received more attention if they did that

This!!! what is even wrong with her having a VERY successful Grammy-nominated ballad on the album? She's always had a ballad or two in pop albums, why are we all of a sudden acting brand new? Plans change, and she can do whatever she wants as it's her body of work. Calling her out and saying that the album is a mess or not cohesive before hearing it is simply not on. Just stop with the negativity already and be happy that she is releasing a new album!

Well not to defend the decision maker here whoever it is as I'm on the artistry camp and I do think ultimately this move might not have the best outcome retrospectively, but I actually think that was gaga's decision here and I think she just fell inlove with the song overtime and decided to include it on the tracklisting after her and label initially saying this is a standalone single.

To me personally her work ever since inception has always came off layered with a sense of undecidedness and I can relate to that honestly as per the rolling stone sitdown we know she and company rework and remix a lot material all the time and to a point I think that's what make her recent work feel a little bit too polished in a way so anyway yeah I think she made that decision not for the bling but she just changed her mind on what could the tracklisting mean and feel which kinda invalidates the whole notion this record is confidently her and how she's finally confident in her sound as the move ultimately reads as cheap and unconfident so I'm inclined to think that it's a bad move artistically but hey I haven't listened to album so it remains to be seen.
