It's Jingle Ball, not Katy's concert.  it has many performers and lasts over 4 hours and many of its audience are parents with kids.

People left the Renaissance tour early before she performed Summer Renaissance in Chicago.  Leaving arenas is crazy and disorganized, and it’s actually quite anxiety inducing when everyone leaves at once.  Honestly it’s smart to leave a bit early.

Common for people to leave early to beat the rush.  Especially at the Jingle Ball where people are there to see various artists but not the last artist.

While standing outside before artRAVE, some people said they were there to see Crayon Pop, the opening act, and were not there to see Gaga.  I would not be surprised if they left the concert long before it ended.
