StrawberryBlond 14,880
It always amazes me that so few critics give truly negative reviews and scores in the 60's are among the worst of the year. There should be multiple albums every year that critics find terrible, one star status. I found lots of them every year when I did album reviewing of as many artists as I could, which naturally led to me listening to albums from artists I disliked. Even now, when I'm only listening to music I want to, the majority of albums in any given year are just 3 stars out of 5 now. How critics are so easily amazed when they should be so jaded and have a very good barometer for quality honed by years of listening to countless albums is extremely suspicious. I still say they're getting paid off in a lot of cases, particularly when it's much older men praising girlie albums made by young women that is in no way intended for their demographic. Not to say they can't like such music for these reasons but the chances of them genuinely appreciating it seems rare, not a standard across the board.

hELXIG 43,081
I literally wasn't sure if 143 was the name of Katy's album and had to Google it I didn't even know it'd officially released Remember the whole Roar VS Applause back in the day and how badly people treated Gaga, and ultimately Katy 'won' (even though Gaga wasn't even making it a competition). Now look at Gaga with Die With A Smile hitting a billion streams this year and everybody loving and praising the crap out of Disease and her recent performances of Disease and Happy Mistake. Everybody speaks of Gaga an undeniable talent these days, even her haters a lot of the time. Keep working on yourself people, because those high school bullies often amount to nothing over time, but real, genuine people only continue to grow better I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
