lastpopicon 37,415
bending the knee to the king... the thing is, this is the smart thing to do, because god knows what trump is going to do to corporations who he perceives as a threat. He had 4 years to learn the presidency, then he had 4 more years to reflect on what he did wrong, now he has all the knowledge he needs to do whatever he wants with no repercussions; he's coming out swinging this time, i fear for America and for the world. Hopefully I'm being way to pessimistic The melody that you choose can rescue you

They will kiss the ring and pour millions into fascists with no hesitation if it benefits their interests. Who had a mind to think otherwise? They lure people in with convenience, out sell the competition until they monopolize the market, then jack up prices when consumers lack alternatives. All those profits give the executives at these companies far more buying power than average Americans. What can people really do about it? Stand in the light, cast your shadow. I boycotted Amazon a couple of years ago for like an entire year after learning about their working conditions. Unfortunately this year it has become too convenient for me and have used it a lot. I will have to reduce or stop most of my shopping there.

I actually spend a lot less money on sh*t I don't really need lmao. I'll look something up on Amazon sometimes but then go directly to the actual retailer to buy rather than buying through Amazon. Like my little custom bracelets I get for concerts or promo (I'm wearing one for Disease right now). I found the company on Amazon but bought directly from their site. Once Trump's tariffs come into effect and prices go up, boycotting might happen anyway out of necessity. Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
