If alcohol, a much more destructive drug, can be widely used recreationally then I don't see any argument you can make for why weed couldn't also.

He is so right. I never thought I’d say that one day but he couldn’t be more right. Weed should stay illegal and alcohol and tobacco should become illegal too. Just my opinion.

It can be addictive but to led to other drugs depends on so many others factors. also the medicine effect it has in my opinion is enough for it to be legalize.

Honestly if the prohibition era taught us anything.

Prohibition will never work as a policy & will actually make organised crime stronger.

Honestly, I don't agree with him in terms of it staying illegal, cause legalizing ends trafficking and violence. BUT, I agree it's addictive. I have been smoking every day for around 8 years and I don't crave other drugs, but I crave weed like a crackhead. Yesterday I was crawling the walls of my apartment the entire day waiting for my dealer. It also makes my ADHD peak, it makes Ritalin not work, and I procrastinate and become a potato. Worse yet that it's illegal here and you get what you get. So, for me, I reached a point where it's doing more harm than good. Long time use of weed is not a walk in the park like a lot of people make it look, but also, anything can be addictive, too. This is a grey subject.

Of course he thinks that way. He’s been extremely anti-drugs, including alcohol, since he got clean. He’s a major addict who’s worked very hard to not do drugs anymore.

Right ideas but wrong conclusion... I do agree (from what i have witnessed) that smoking makes you lazy and overindulgent when it comes to food at best, and paranoid and anxious at worst. But criminalizing it is not the solution just like criminalizing alcohol wouldn't solve any of its issues and would instead make people do bad things to attain these substances.
