I have absolutely zero desire to see the film adaptation to a 20 year old musical which itself is the loose interpretation of a 30 year old novel which itself is the fan fiction of a 90 year old film which is ITSELF the film adaptation of a 120 year old book :air:

Isn't that how art works though? Like nothing is original, everything is inspired by something else, even if only subconsciously.     It is wild though how many times that story has slowly and peacefully died, only to be beaten violently back to life for the next adaption of an adaptation.

It’s actually much better than the stage show! I love how elphaba is portrayed compared to the stage versions and the expansions of certain topics really help answer questions from the stage show! I say you should give it a chance
