Are you a fan of her and her music?

I love her music, what I hate is those reissues of every album. I think she has a nice voice - i love the sound of it.
And I do think she worked a lot for her stage presence. I don't consider her as MPG, because she didn't released 4th album, idk why but 4th project for me is the most importing one when it comes to artists.

Always liked her ever since Be The One came out. I feel as like people don’t necessarily like Radical Optimism because they expected „more“ after the album Future Nostalgia is. (A very good and neat pop album)

I think RO is per se good album and I like/stan it but it definitely doesn’t reach Future Nostalgia‘s highs.

have loved and been a fan of hers since Hotter Than Hell/Be The One... Future Nostalgia elevated her to main pop girl status but tbh as much as i (just) like Radical Optimism, it didn't hit the same and felt SAFE... this entire era feels like she just played safe in all aspects: sound, management (maybe her old team was pushing her to do things her dad doesn't), the image/visuals were not strong enough (e.g. training season music video)... she used to serve visuals/fashion and now it's just not as exciting and feels like she doesn't care either... just hope she comes back sooner this time with an album with a NEW and fresh sound and strong visuals!!

Out of all the "newer" pop girlies I like Dua the most (and Billie) - I don't need her music to be deep and meaningful. Sometimes pop can just be pop - bangers to dance to

I'm not really interested in her as a person, but that's ok. I'm sure she's nice though - I just enjoy her music and performances

She has fun music, a characteristic voice, has gotten better over the years, is pretty and most importantly, looks like a genuine person you could really have fun with if you met her at a bar when she was on tour at your city. People on here are too critical sometimes.

She is THE real queen of pop , she opened doors that madonna couldn't even open. And she is still so humble . These mpgs wishes they were her. The indutry couldn't even existed if it wasn't for Dua.

She's an absolute stunner with sex appeal but I feel that's what people confuse with star power and talent. Not to say that she's untalented but certainly not some sort of pop genius that the fans and media have made her out to be. I think the downfall in public perception of her from FN to RO really shows that her music is only as good as the people she works with and FN was one big fluke as opposed to a standard, kinda like Teenage Dream was for Katy Perry. I remember a critic said about FN that this album was "just scratching the surface of what she can do." I was rather baffled by this statement as I don't know what insight they had that the rest of us didn't but then RO came out and, while not bad, it sounded like diluted FN outtakes. In fact, everything she's released after FN just sounds like tracks that never made it onto the final setlist. She's been playing it very safe and seems to have found a comfort zone of sound that people liked and is now cautious to move out of it.

Her voice isn't bad, but not a powerhouse by any means. Her dancing and stage presence has improved but if she weren't so hot, I'm sure it wouldn't be looked at as that impressive. She has some good songs here and there, but for the most part, she's just your run-of-the-mill pop singer who makes catchy, radio friendly songs for the masses, with no deep message or next level artistic vision. Which is fine, but I feel she just got overly hyped during FN for a reason that I can't fathom and was made out to be so much better than she actually was. Now, post-RO, it's like maybe people are waking up to this reality that she peaked too early.

Rich girl with not much to say aside from talking about romantic relationships and dancing lol.

That's pretty accurate. Those 2 topics are literally ALL her music is about. That tells me that she's making songs with the most palatable topics just so she can be really popular and make money, so she has to give the public what they want, even if she isn't dating constantly or clubbing all the time. The only song I can think of in her entire discography that isn't about those topics and is a bit more serious is Boys Will Be Boys. Downside is, it seems to be one of two songs on FN that nobody likes, though I actually think it's ok. I don't feel she has much incentive to make deeper music, all her biggest hits are about her usual 2 topics, so why change?

I love her. Will never forget when I went to London a few years ago and the first thing I saw outside of the airport was a massive Dua Lipa Adidas ad. At that point I heard only one song from hers but then Electricity was released and I was hooked. Such a good time..

I wasn’t a huge fan of her latest album but the evolution she had from her first album and Future Nostalgia is insane. She improved in every single way. I respect that

I only really like Physical. Most of her songs are catchy but in an uninteresting and “danceable because it’s on” way rather than songs I actively choose to play or listen to on my own accord. Her sound is a bit repetitive—having heard five songs from her you kind of get what her general sound is. She has a sensual and nice tone that fits pop music, but I’m not sure if she has the versatility or vocal talent to expand into other genres as well as some other artists.

Great analysis, I 100% agree with all that.
