Yes, I know. Many of you on here like to make justifications and excuse when it doesn’t fit the narrative. I never said a word about his race being mentioned here — I said he’s deserving of this accomplishment BECAUSE of how rare it is within contemporary American country music. 

And sorry, but only some of you on here dislike the song lmao, otherwise this thread wouldn’t exist.

I don’t get what’s so hard about comprehending this tbh — I don’t even know why you’re so insistent on making a point when you can’t see mine. 

The dismissive comments all throughout this thread, the charts thread, etc, have comments about how terrible the song, irrelevant, didn’t know it existed, WHO’s listening to it (framed as a negative comment), and that’s its undeserved — I’m saying that people are listening to it, because they clearly ENJOY it, and for a black man to find such wild and amazing success through county music no less — it should be celebrated rather than shi*ted all over like it has been, and continues to be on here.
