What do we think of LG7 being “chaotic from a genre perspective”? NGL, that makes me a little worried! I usually prefer cohesive albums with a specific point of view. An album that’s so “all over the place” might also be less critically acclaimed. Thoughts??

Hasn’t she said before all of her songs she writes are made in a piano?

Born This Way could be described in the same way. It borrows a lot of elements from a very wide variety of genres, seemingly at random, but still blends them cohesively.

Amazing ! Gaga has nothing to proove and I'm glad to see she's simply having fun this album, although I hope it holds a political message, even just a little bit

My thoughts: I love all over the place… probably bc most people don’t like that and I can be quite all over the place as well (which is one thing I love about myself) and I know I will connect to it. I never read any critic’s opinion bc the only opinion that matters to me in cases like these is my own… cause everybody should know for themselves how they like music and not any critics 🤷🏼‍♂️

Having live instruments incorporated in is something I’ve been BEGGING Gaga to do for ages now. It’s the reason I prefer her live performances. Gaga plus live instruments is a literal match made in heaven. I can’t wait to hear this :queenga:

Born This Way draws for so many genres including techno, electronic rock, mariachi, opera, and house. Half of the songs on the album don't sound like each other, yet it's still cohesive.

...why are you worried? lol

She probably means it’s not tied to one specific sub-genre (like house or disco or rock) and instead borrows from electronic music as whole.

That being said, we’ve heard a handful of snippets and it does sound like a mix of synthpop/dance/electronic stuff with a tinge of industrial and body music so we kind of have an idea of the direction. But maybe she’ll throw us a curveball and have some R&B and folk on the ballads lol
