Gaga isnt Kesha though. When is the last time Kesha had a hit? 2016's Praying and that didnt even enter Top 20 on Hot 100. Her real last smash hit was what, 2011? 

The music video helps boost song streams and relevancy. Gets people talking and excited about a single, as fans we want Gaga to have commercial success..
