I love how this topic conveniently leaves out the fact that the UK and France have also support this development as reported elsewhere. Make sure to save up  some of that energy for them as well.

OK, let's blame 'em, too.

They are only being sent forward by the USA as stooges in order to avoid direct accusations of interference and to spread and conceal the blame. Nothing that the UK and France do in the UKR is uncoordinated with the US.

In addition, the UK and FRA have their own long-range weapons that they could send to Ukraine and authorize on their own, but do not do so (keep the range limited), on the grounds that "then we have nothing left for ourselves", which is not true at all, because when it comes to supplying weapons to Israël, Israël suddenly gets everything delivered in 48 hours in quantities that Ukraine can only dream of.

Ukraine got so far from UKR/FRA the weapons remnants that Israël did not want because they were too outdated. Israël does not see itself as an arms dump, whereas Ukraine is regarded as such by Western Europe.

Don’t you worry, Biden will be gone very soon and this will all change. Nobody will need to worry about USA coordinating anything for Ukraine any longer.  This is the last breath of Americas dying influence on Europe. 
 

France and the UK can and should provide those weapons moving forward. Let’s just hope Russia is satisfied with their latest annexation for a while.

Has he lost his mind? Ukraine using US missiles inside Russian territory will do nothing to reverse the tides and Russia is going to respond to this with devastating force and have said so repeatedly. They have the largest and most advanced system of long range missiles in the world and are currently producing more of them than Europe and the United States combined. This is terrible news if it turns out to be true and it's only purpose is to draw the United States into a war with Russia

He wants Ukraine to cripple Russia before Trump teams up with Putin I guess. Which is...whatever, I get it, but all this'll do is escalate the conflict. And that's the wrong direction to take a stalemate.

It's not a stalemate, in order for it to be a stalemate, the front would need to remain static and Ukraine has been losing heavily fortified territory for months now and the territoral losses have been increasing in pace since the start of 2024. They have zero chance of winning the war from an attritional standpoint and anybody who knows a thing about military matters could tell you that

So I wonder at what point is it ok for Putin to invade Ukraine at will,  but not ok for Ukraine and its allies  to defend against this?  Peace starts when Russia decides to back down and get the hell back inside its own borders.  There’s really no other way.  If it’s not US providing weapons, then the UK/ EU will.

Russia has said that they will retaliate against the United States if they supply Ukraine with weapons to strike inside Russian territory and do you seriously think it's a good idea to mess around with a nuclear power that has the largest arsenal of advanced long range missiles in the world? Besides, how is sending Ukraine missiles to use inside Russia going to turn the tide in the ground war and force Russia to abandon the territory it has seized? This is a fools errand designed to hand Trump a world war when he gets in office and anybody with half a brain should be terrified that this is even being discussed.

So your solution?  Back down and let big scary Putin do as he pleases throughout the region?  Where does it stop?  No one wants WW3, but let’s face it - bad actors are in charge of the largest arsenal of nukes.  You have to hope that the knowledge of mutual destruction is enough of a deterrence here.  Sure, Russia can use nukes, but to what end?  It’s equivalent to suicide.
