She should've capitalised on that Superbowl hype. Both her and J-Lo squandered their chances of a proper comeback because neither released an album or tour dates afterwards, not even a greatest hits tour. I know, Covid the following year put paid to any plans they may have had, but they didn't even try in the first place. But now it's 5 years later, her album didn't make a splash internationally and yet, despite her never playing stadiums in North America, she thinks she can do it it now? Obviously, her team will be able to see how many people were trying to get tickets initially. If you've got an arena booked that holds 15,000 but there's a million people trying to get tickets, then, yeah, that's stadium level demand. But if there's maybe 25,000 people trying to get tickets, book another arena or two. It's not hard. If she has to cancel again, refund tickets and go back to arenas, this will be a huge source of embarrassment. Not as badly as it was for J-Lo but pretty close. They could both be looked at as cautionary cases of why you shouldn't pass up on the opportunity to strike when the iron is hot.

Seriously?! That's insane. How long does it take to refund arena tickets? My JWT original tickets were refunded in two shakes. There'll be lawsuits for that tour promoter if they don't watch out.

I think that the demand is mostly international and they decided to do the switch after the latin American dates were announced. I also saw that many were upset and affected by the cancellations and they didn't want to buy tickets to the new dates because of this (which is understandable).

I don't understand why they didn't do it a stadium tour from the beginning instead of doing this change last minute. Anyways, maybe it will sell out closer to the date or drop the prices.

I think there was demand but she chased away confirmed sales for potential sales. It's just bad business tbh.

She should have just added another date or two instead of cancelling and rescheduling for different venues.

There was huge demand, the tour was sold out the moment it was open for presales on all dates when it was arenas dates initially. 
 

But she doesn't do her fans in good faith. The concert is cancelled 2 weeks before it supposed to start. There were 6 months in between this time for her to cancel but she didn't until very last minute. Lots of people losing money from non refundable flights and hotel bookings. They also waste their time. It takes elaborate plan for many people to travel for a show, including taking time off from work, which is not easy to come by. Her comments section on insta were brutal when this happens. Some just can't get another time off or money to rebook everything, so they can go.

 During this time, there are no words from Shakira to her fans, she just posted anything else but on her social platforms. Her fans feel cheated, and neglected from this behavior. And decided to sit the stadium tour out.

then a month later, the stadium dates are on sale, lots of her fans still haven't getting their refunds from the cancelled tour at this point. And today there are still many who are still not refunded.
