Hiss dropped out of the top 10 the next week after topping at no. 1 because most people streamed it out of spite of Nicki Minaj. After that, her chart's performance is best described as "lukewarm".

All of Halsey's singles that were released this year performed awfully on the charts. Worse than Megan's.

Some users on Twitter weren't even aware that Disease existed.

The charts work as they always were.

Some artists come, some go, some use payola, some get the momentum, some get neither.

You just have to accept that your fav either got bad luck or lost popularity (or others.)
And the hype around the internet can't always match with reality.
