Honestly in this specific case I think its more a result of a change in label. 

If it wasn't for this site & a insta account which keeps track of vinyl releases I wouldn't know this album exists or that Halsey was back. There's been like no obvious pushing of it

They pushed the vinyl really hard last week - many different collector versions and 30% off before it even released.

This is pretty obviously a reflection of her having a core audience but not wide streaming or radio support.

I guess I don't understand the charts nowadays. Megan Thee Stallion, Halsey, Disease, etc. aren't performing as well as I would expect.

But at the end of the day, it's the music that counts (not the charts)
