Trump hints at third term, violating Constitution

A constitutional amendement requires much more than 60% of congress approval.  An amendment to constitution can be proposed by a 2/3 vote of each of the Senate and the House, or 2/3 of the state legislatures/conventions.  It then must be approved by 3/4 of the state legislatures/state conventions.  So there is 0% chance of any amendement that favors one party over the other (or Trump in this case) ever getting approved/passed in the current enviornment.

This is correct.

Did the law change after that or what? :oprah:

The 2 rule term was kind of unspoken and was added after FDR ran and won 4 times.

Health wise I don't know if he'll manage 4 whole years but I guess Biden did.

Biden was jogging around the white house 10 years ago and biking within his first year as president. Trump can't walk 20 feet without a golf cart and a Big Mac.

I’m bsffr rn. Run Obama again. Like, deadass. Put that mf back in the ring if Trump gets rid of the two term limit.

Noo in fact the law was already as it is today, but him being president again was evident to people, no one was opposed to it, maybe there wasn't a big opponent but I'm not sure about that final part

EDIT: ChatGPT says the law changed

The irony is the team around him will 25th amendment him anyway and install Vance.

I totally see this happen. And if that happens after 2 years of trumps term Vance can run for 2 full terms. Vance is far more dangerous than Trump.

(Also theoretically Trump can run as Vice President after he completes this term and if the then president steps down he could serve another term.)

Honestly, I do think it's a possibility.

But looking at Trump's cabinet picks....

I'm starting to doubt the idea there's a master plan
