I have the same feeling. I think it’s a buzz single.

She wanted to release LG7 this year and they changed plans to next year but she wanted to keep her promise to give us something new this year and that’s “disease”.

She literally announced it as “LG7: First Single”

Remember guys..

XX October LG7 first single

But also I think it’s normal.. too close to Halloween to get picked up, DWAS tsunami is still going, Joker 2 was a huge flop and it didn’t create more buzz around her name, people started streaming xmas music the day after Halloween, the US election (and its horrible turnout) has sucked all the air in the room for people to care about stuff like that.

And she has yet to perform it live or appear on shows/podcasts/interviews. I think she’s in a weird place now, with Trump winning, maybe she doesn’t want to seem careless and keep going as if nothing happened.

Let’s remember that some of our fav artists like Lana del Rey for example, never chart significantly and yet we love them and their music just the same and it doesn’t devalue their worth as a musician nor does it reflect the impact of their legacy

Fck I luv Art

This song does a small buzz tho :huntyga:

I saw that all the gp ppl who listened it liked it and there's almost more than +40K shorts on Insta who use this song and many other on TikTok. 40 millions of streams on Spotify is pretty good too, I think it could hit the 100 millions maybe. It could also blow up later with TikTok, one buzzing videos can be enough to make a song viral...

And honestly, Gaga droped this song for her fans and we love it, that's all truly matters.

This ! Like mainstream artist are sooo boring and are always playing it safe. Why are you all so obsessed with being the cool kids at the party ????  Maybe now we can finally let Gaga be the alternative artist she’s always been.

This.

we had what for me together with Dope is one of her best ballads which is Happy Mistake to which has been payed dust.

too many works all smashed together with the JFAD flop

the song is well received by critics fans and casual listeners

we just don’t have enough payola and she is 38 and we are in 2024. Everything is unpredictable unless you are the devil Beyoncé or that bitch TS. That’s it

We are entering a new moment in Gaga’s status. She is recognized as one of the few singer songwriter that have a voice a legacy and a vision.

Tori Amos had huge chart success with her first 4 albums then she got older and never to be found in the hot 200.

still she managed to be a household name and continues to make beautiful albums shows concerts books and she is a legend

we have to accept and embrace the changes and support her good music and art.

I understand we try to cushion this fall so it doesn't hurt too much. However, Gaga is not Tori Amos. As big as she was, Gaga is wayy more mainstream than her.

And I hate to make this comparison again, but really, Madonna continues being great in chart going into her 40s & 50s and at the same time still breaking boundaries and getting great reviews for her albums during that time too. So artists not always have to choose between financial success or critical accolades. It just about how you streamline your art and your career. And how focused are you at doing it. Of course the side hustles like selling perfume or make ups or selling anything else but music are not really a thing back in the 90s and early 00s. So all artists had was really just music.., and being movies/popular TV show cameos when they're bored.

Like, let's point out the elephant in the room, what's with the silence ever since DISEASE got released? That is a questionable choice in business standpoint. Artists need to get the news out there for people to be aware that they have new music out. Especially in streaming era like now, where people tends to be in their own bubble, and often times found too late that an artist actually have released new music.

Like Chromatica, we are streaming but we are too small. Hits require the GP to connect. And unfortunately they did not. The only artist big enough to rely solely on fanbase is TS. She is the only whose fanbase is large enough. Even Bey her fanbase is similar size as Gaga but her GP support is miles better.
