chathonnete 419
We have to radically accept that Disease wasn't appreciated by the GP, it's just a fact. The song is amazing for her fans, but it's intensity, topic and production don't match with people who aren't really into her. Almost every people that I played the song to didn't really like it. However I'm happy with this first single and I feel like it's her most "intern" come back, it's really a fanbase comeback, which is cool. Also the timing wasn't good, Gaga released too many projects close to it (joker, dwas, harleyquinn album), so people weren't missing her and the single felt like a side project, and not a true come back. Gaga was amazing for keeping the release in October because she promised it, but it should have come out this week or next week. I think the debut was a disapointment (#27 is her worst first single debut), and they know the song won't rise. So they probably gave up on promo. I'm not a manager or whatever lmao but I'd be Gaga I would wait for a while to create anticipation, and release a new single that's impactful and more minimalistic in it's production (neon lights for example sounds amazing), in January. And really focus on it. Second Gaga singles are always the most impactful, let it be.

There won’t be any more promo until the album drops. She, her team and the 7.1 billion dollar record company investing in her decided to deliberately pass on ANY SINGLE OPPORTUNITY to promote the new project because they flipped a coin and it said . It’s all about Camila Cabello now. Get used to it. Don't get sassy lmao

The song is doing pretty good here in Switzerland and is all over the radio. I really think Disease is an amazing song and a great choice. She just needs to promote it more. Where are the lives ffs. I’m not real, I’m theatre.
Chesescake 3,648
We just have to accept that this song is not some kind of unconventional pop piece. And the issue is lack of promo from her self/team/label. Teasing with snippets. Talk about her husband got her back to doing pop stuff. Talked about treating each single like a album rollout and what they got for Disease right now? Like ask me to enjoy the ride. Meanwhile we're stuck in the middle of nowhere with Gaga in the distance doing the Perfect Illusion roll on the ground. The song is just not that good, like not "so good it don't need promotion" kinda good. Heck I didn't even feel like this era was started. Juanlittlem 41,522
I feel the thing is she missed all the hype surrounding her comeback with Harlequin and (even if its a hit) DWAS. GP (or at least a few casual youtube reactors) were confused when DWAS and Harlequin were released thinking the songs were tied to her new music thinking it was her comeback. At this point, seeing that they arent gonna do heavy promo on Disease the best they couldve done is release the full album in february with the lead on the same album release day. Dejare de quererte cuando un pintor sordo pinte el sonido de un pétalo al caer en el suelo de cristal de un castillo que no existe.

Gaga2645 2,050
I wouldn’t be surprised if with the new wave of buzz singles nowadays interscope and gaga reached a compromise where a buzz single can be more experimental in sound to showcase the overall aesthetic of the album but the second, “lead” single will be more radio friendly and be pushed more. But this is just my theory. A f@g theory But also, all the negativity is insane here. It’s a banger of a song, most people who have reacted to it have admitted it’s a good song. If it were promoted the numbers would be better, but it’s obvious that Gaga doesn’t care wether it flops or not. Just because the numbers aren’t to your liking it doesn’t mean it’s a bad song or “not good” that’s CRAZY talk. This forum wasn’t acting like this on release day… Edited November 10 by Gaga2645

Yaaaas Gaga 813
I do think she has taken a step back whilst the US election was happening. I think she understands that is of much more importance and there are a lot of people that need some time to digest the result so I think she knows what she's doing. Personally, I think Disease should have been released a week earlier to capitalise more on the build up to Halloween, but I still think she has every intention of promoting it. The song has received such positive feedback from fans and the GP (despite the chart performance) and I don't think she'll let that go to waste. Tinnitus15 50,490
Part of me thinks she really killed the hype with harleyquin. Locals don’t know what LG 6.5 mean so I think they all thought that was her latest album. And suddenly she drops a new lead.

SHALLOW 15,729
The thing that i miss the most is seeing her in public wearing high fashion. For me it won't feel like a proper Gaga era till she starts doing that again
