Are grammys that serious? Justice for We Can't Be Friends

I just found out that We Can't Be Friends was snubbed at the Grammys, instead Fortnight is nominated everywhere.

I just wanna say that this is SO NOT COOL, WCBF is already a pop classic of our generation. We are gonna hear this song in 10 years and feel so much nostalgia for 2020s, unlike Fortnight which we didnt heard it nowhere since it got released. The math isnt mathing for me that Fortnight is being nominated instead of the classic WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS?

And then we have DWAS being snubbed at ROTY like seriously???

And Cowboy Carter...like almost each song of that album is nominated in different categories.

Listen here, idk WTF is going on in the USA but something is f*cking up americans minds, that Bar Song breaking the record of most weeks at Hot 100 #1 when we literally havent heard that song nowhere, then Disease going downhill in the US, then they all go and vote for TRUMP and finally Grammys coming up with all this NON SENSE :triggered:

USA:

Im not an Arianator but this song truly deserved :traumatica:

Unless Gaga wins something Grammy's should remain worthless (and even if Gaga wins too) Im done with their bullsh*t sitting on their high horse thinking they are all THAT when they clearly not. At this point Taylor is buying all this nominations just to piss people off

i agree we cant be friends was more successful than fortnight in every way - more streams, more airplay, better song, more music video views (70 million more views)

its just a better song

but traylor could release an album of her farting with autotune and the grammys would still nominate her for every award

the payola is so obvious - its never been this obvious either

i hate when the most talented artists get overlooked because theres other artists with bigger fan bases. its truly not about talent anymore, but about who has the biggest following or whos label has the most influence. and fine if ari was getting surpassed by gaga or beyonce, it would be fine cuz theyre on the same level of talent, but the other girl???? seriously - when did we start praising mediocrity when greatness is right in front of us

They let her promote an album last grammy’s, She paid for that.. the promo started days before the ceremony, she knew she won

and shes been snubbed and never won in a major category so i think its rigged

gaga should atleast have one major category win considering her impact and success

It's a catchy cute kinda generic pop song, it's not worthy of winning a Grammy imho

Ariana's album to me (TO ME) was totally forgetable. I can't remember seeing much promotion, I didn't hear the songs being played anywhere I went and was kinda shocked when I was reminded earlier this week that "Yes, And?" is in it.

But to be honest, I've could said the exact same thing about Beyoncé's album, and look at how many nomination she got :huntyga:

They just had to give Beyoncé’s worst album in 16 years this record.

Fortnight is a great song. A great opener to a pretty good track 2 to a MID album. Folklore 2.0.

eternal sunshine is a pretty solid album. But i felt like it kinda came and went. I still stream it on a weekly basis though.

hit me hard and soft is boring.

Short n’ Sweet is ok.

The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess has too much filler.

WHERE IS THE NEW SELENA GOMEZ ALBUM? :kry:

I know Ari went #1 with a couple of songs but I legit haven’t heard those songs/album make any noise all year. Then again Grammys shouldn’t be about just commercial success so idk

Reject False Icons

The OP is hyping way too much WCBF I agree I like it better than fortnight, and it’s cute to not see Taylor or her 20 copies on the radio all the time

but it’s not that big of a hymn when you can still clearly hear the heavy Dancing on my own inspiration

Ariana already said she was kind of blacklisted for having problems with a Grammy executive or smth, are we surprised? No, they snub women very often it’s just another company like the Olympics they promote themselves as being the definite institution but they are another company

Not doubting your experiences, however I can say for me personally, We Can't Be Friends and The Boy Is Mine have been absolutely inescapable this entire year. :laughga: So I guess it depends where you reside?
