Still, I root for a solo number 1, only to end this tiresome narrative. Yup. They wrote this precisely to provoke stan wars and get clicks. We have a huge issue with the media. The biggest problem is disinfo and politics, obviously, but this spreads everywhere...even into stuff like sports and entertainment coverage.

dit 45,440
I do pray she gets a new solo #1 and a few more solo top 10s just to end this dumb narrative for once and for all...here's to hoping something sticks from LG7 4
LaLa 19,041
This is a clickbait article for sure, super lazy. But also... maybe she won't. Who cares. NOBODY, not even the biggest brightest most popular stars in the world, can be on top of the charts forever. Everybody's time comes. I just want her to make music that isn't desperately chasing some previous glory, and thank god I don't think she's the kind of artist to go down that path.
Mr S 8,146
Beyonce went through a similar drought, I wonder why nobody wrote about that.

The beats and lyrics still packed a punch, even 16 years later. Disease feels so bland and boring in comparison, like it was some unfinished demo from The Fame Monster. I am not comparing because I'm opposed to change, but I like to see creative risks and growth from my favorite artists. Whether that is in the lyrics, the music, or the imagery, I want them to improve and keep things interesting. Disease did not showcase that. I'm sure she has the talent to create magic, like she has done before, but she really seems to have struggled with Disease. It just isn't entertaining sonically or visually. Hard disagree, Disease is the most interesting she’s ever been sonically and visually to me
Chromatography 9,863
Tired narrative. Need the same energy for others. Let’s take popular male artists right now — Bruno, post Malone, I feel like The Weeknd always has some collab. Like who cares

Vast majority is the public and they agree with me. It flopped for Gaga's standards, let's not kid ourselves. Obviously people on this site are biased but musically Disease is one of her weakest lead singles. trolly troll troll

metalguru 917
I’m exhausted… First, this post-Swiftie obsession with charts. Then, the fan armies—Beehive, Katy Perry’s fans, even the Monsters. It all feels so juvenile, so parasocial. What’s worse is that neither these stans nor the writer of this “article” seems to understand how charts actually work. Gaga is enjoying a unique resurgence—her catalog is soaring, and she’s released some of the biggest hits of recent years (“DWAS,” “Shallow,” “Always Remember…”). Sure, I’d love to see her score another mega pop hit, but look at Beyoncé’s numbers—impressive first, disappointing in few months. Maybe a slow built-up is a better approach. After all, Gaga can afford to experiment with how she launches a new era or single, since she is bringing in INSANE revenue. My only fear is that these false narratives stick to her aka ARTPOP. But it is too early to tell and she can still save Disease and hit back harder with the second single, album rollout. 2 2

I see mainly swifties and katycats talking about sales sales and only sales cause they can't defend theirs on delivery, and i know i shouldn't care about stan wars but the gaga hate train is so f-cking annoying, 15 years in and they're still burning coal on this mutherf-cker, can these basic bitches analyse art OBJECTIVELY or they just listen to the girls at the top of the charts and close themselves there in a chamber that dumbs down their interpretation of anything, i know there are subjective factors but they are blind and deaf, i'm sorry, gaga PUKED a version of herself on the mv two months after looking like dolly parton to sing an amazing ballad, and these flavourless vanilla-ice-cream-gargling c*nts, who have to plan their meal to have sex, get satisfied with the bare minimum from their faves and have the NERVE to keep talking about those goddamn charts, get outta here ok, azealia spirit has been given a space and is now exorcised i'm so happy DWAS is #1 for 61 days jk Edited November 8 by Hennycomb 5

The former songs have melodies and hooks that's addictive and distinctly Gaga. Disease has no personality in comparison. Truth hurts sisters. This is an example of someone trying to present their unique view as solid fact. I adore Gaga's music (as I'm sure most people think) more than anyone else could and Disease is the ONE song that re lit the old fire. I had issues with the production (so not gagA) of multiple songs across albums when the listener seemed to take a back seat to a vibe or message. Here I feel that same concise and regimented perfection of beat overlapped by super intense and audibly exciting vocals. (not to say I need perfection, but I've never heard it from anyone but her) Edited November 8 by Leoooo
Starmie25 13,063
Personally I love that Gaga can score success with songs the non traditional way. The main ones being "Bloody Mary" and "ARUTW". It's kinda cool, no? Edited November 8 by Starmie25 4 2
