I keep seeing that we need to watch out for one another but I need to watch out for myself for once. This is about to be a very selfish four years where all of the worrying I did for others goes into my own peace of mind. All of the volunteering, conversations, donating… and for what? What has this been for? We didn’t even get the popular vote this time around. I need to go back to therapy. I don’t even know where to put these thoughts. My only consolation right now is the thought that my trumper "father" will end up in some crappy nursing home someday soon, and I'll be able to say to him, "hey, you voted for all of this."
