I think this is the biggest problem with Democrats. They keep thinking they have a win with minorities but these people are much more complex than their race. Some minorities might vote for Trump because the Republicans want to stop illegal immigration and secure borders. They are upset people are getting into the country illegally while they had to go through a lot of financial and legal hardship to do it the lawful way. I can definitely see how opening the border for anyone can feel like a slap in the face for people who did it the right way. It's 2024, Democrats need to stop thinking they have the minority vote. And the demonizing and making fun of minorities who do vote for Trump is not helping. Big agree. So much of the Latino vote now is increasingly 2nd/3rd gen+. Those gens and beyond increasingly see themselves as Americans not immigrants. They don't even see themselves as children of immigrants, because their parents were Americans as well not 1st gen immigrants.
