I just really can’t understand the hype around her when she makes music like this…

Pink Pony Club is fine and I get why it resonates with people forsure, but The Giver? Please be so serious… the lashings any other pop girl would receive if they made something like this

but also I guess I shouldn’t yuck anybody’s yum… happy for her fans and anyone who enjoys her

Gaga has spoken a lot worse about fame throughout the years and cancelled two tours and some of her biggest gigs ever then so I don’t think we should be negative towards Chappel. Actually I think Gaga could only wish to have the power to be such a “diva” earlier in her career so I believe Gaga would 100% support Chappel’s decisions

That being said, I was so confused, I thought that Good Luck Babe performance with the white outfit and feathers was on SNL but that must have been a different show, both performances were incredible! I like her new song, I wonder if it’s gonna be the new single or just an album track she chose to spoil us

It’s not just about being a diva though. Her behavior and words don’t match right now. Gaga didn’t cancel a show and then turn around and do a massive promotional media appearance weeks later. She cancelled shows cause she was physically unable to give her best because of a highly unpredictable sickness. In my eyes, if your claim to fame is too quick and you’re not enjoying it, you stop the benchmark media appearances, release your music quietly and do shows for the fans

Receipts? Justin Tranter the writer of GLB said they worked on the song in 2022 and it was supposed to be included on her debut but that Chappell was tweaking it for a while. I think it’s just a stand alone single.

didn't know Justin wrote GLB! He really is and stays the moment!

There's also James Corden, but fortunately he's out of the TV business (for now)

yeah I totally get what you mean, I think maybe a tv show feels more like a “controlled ambient” situation  compared to sold out concerts, from an anxious person standpoint  I believe the huge crowds are way too overwhelming for her

Plus we all know from Gaga's career that depending on deals etc how much you can say no to varies significantly between artists.

I mean, wouldn’t say “called out” (just because I don’t think what he said was true), but yeah

Honestly idk if it’s the huge crowds so much as the lack of respect for personal and professional boundaries.
