I appreciate the original version on the album but her soft vocals on the Joanne version really emotes so beautifully. It's such a simple song in some ways but Gaga harnesses such powerful emotions in the way she sings it, building up to climax that is just heartbreaking. It's hard not to respond to that and I think of loss I've experienced too. My partner can't listen to it unless he has the tissues handy too It used to be top 10 for me but Harlequin/Disease/DWAS being released messed up my whole ranking; it's probably around top 20 for me now!
