I see radio airplay in the US pushing songs to stay at the top longer... I hope it will apply as well when DWAS will be at #1 on Hot 100 calcultion

You guys act as if DWAS isn't already a smash hit so who the **** cares if she releases a few variants or whatever of it to climb one spot? Go to bed.

It's not even the radio nonsense that irks me. I know how that works. I just don't understand how the final prediction dropped ten points from the midweek prediction. That's a LOT of points.

And radio did NOT drop at all after the midweek prediction. So radio had nothing to do with the drop.

And we know that T-Thu DWAS was selling great because of the variants and discounts. So sales had nothing to do with the drop. Sales definitely increased after midweek.

And streaming was stable after midweek. So streaming had nothing to do with the drop.

So what caused it! It's so confusing! I wish someone could explain it to me.

Yeah i really dont know. But who knows what kind of assumptions they make with projections. Projections are just that, projections

Besides, by mid week discounts had already been announced. Its totally possible those were factored in already and if they sold a little less than expected or assumed we actually lost points

Just throwing it out there too, could they have madr assumptions about the vinyls and they actually sold less than thought as well?

For the people saying "Who cares if it goes #1, it's already a smash, be satisfied with that" – why are you in this thread? It's objectively a smash, that goes without saying. Why would we NOT want it to do as well as possible?

I'm rooting for it not so much for DWAS in particular but so Gaga can claim 6 career #1s – which is *at least* the number she's deserved since 2013. BR, Telephone, and TEOG are all #1-equivalents, so who cares what the specific songs are (people are still shocked to find out BR *isn't* a #1) – it matters more for her career stats.

For the longest time (up until 2019), she only had 3 #1s! So we can play the "charts don't matter" game all day long, but 3 #1s was absolutely not what she deserved and does not reflect the impact of her career. DWAS going #1 helps to even the score (even if DWAS specifically doesn't need it).

Can we not take for granted what a random Twitter acc says the Hot 100 is going to look like?? :laughga: It’s just a cute little twink playing with numbers and having fun predicting positions. Im not saying they are wrong and DWAS is number one, but can we wait for the official announcement? They’ve been wrong countless times before as they obviously dont have all the information, including the physical sales. Didn’t they predict Levitating going number one? We all know how that turned out :ohwell:
