It's camp, it's dark, it's sensual, it's tortured, it's well produced, the looks, the energy, the aesthetic (very reminiscent of a darker version of Edward Scissorhand's, the suburb + the black look from the Gaga in the car), the last segment with the walls pushing back and forth, the scene where she's walking on/fighting herself... wow, she did it agaaaaaaiiin!!! It truly embodies how she can be her own enemy but also her own saviour, and I can totally relate. Likewise, the oldest Gaga, along with other Gagas or Stefanies who are soon to become one, are lost in this realm, trying to find their way, with the supreme Gaga guiding them. In the second verse scene, we even see this bizarre ballet class, reminiscent of Marry the Night. She can't reach the pole like before because she's missing her ballet heels from that video so she improvises. The whole thing has Suspiria and Sucker Punch vibes. Also, notice how the SupremeGa is blonde and nearly bald, while the ApprenticeGas have black hair with blonde streaks. People, we are **** back! EDIT: One more thing I noticed. Her tour interludes are amazing and usually very deep and dark and I'm happy to see these visuals finally made it to a music video made for the general public. I always wondered why these past 10 years her tour interludes were so epic and most of her music video's didn't seem to reach that same level. I'm so happy 😊 Watching a few reactions video's and I'm suprised Beth is into it because she found the song intense without the video. I find it funny how people keep saying this is a return to form, when this 'form', this dark side to her, was always present, but mainly for us fans to see during her live shows, where the music usually is heavier too.
