I'm also fully coming back to say she looks amazing with any kind of long flowy wig. The scene where the camera is panning around her in the black wig/ outfit with the red eyes reminds me so much of applause when she's walking through the laser thingy. The faces she gives remind me of the pain. We stan (I also have a completely whacky conspiracy for the video but I shall keep it to myself because I will get dragged - it's nothing serious)

Now that my opinion will be buried

I'm gonna need to learn more about the inspirations behind some things tbh. Watching it as I understand it now it comes off as "dark and shocking for the sake of being dark and shocking" but I'm sure it's deeper than that. It's probably me feeling like she's caving to unruly fans that demand something rather than that something manifesting organically :laughga:

Not my favorite, even if the song does slap hard still :vegas:

Yes it's a full on wallet, and the ending when she is walking away, the belt is a headphone cable.

I think the monster represents the music industry. Like when she's chained and fighting herself... he is behind watching. Controlling everything.

what he said! ^

Do we think that the mv is like a spiritual sequel to 911? It has a similar neighborhood feel, starts where it left off in a way? I like that this vision replaces the daytime context of fantasy vs. nighttime reality in 911 with this weirdly mundane, sunlit "darkness" that is nevertheless healing for her vs. dissociating and deluded. Also, people just drive by the scene instead of helping her lol.

This really does feel like Gaga is learning to embody so much more power in a grounded way, for herself, without falling into any of her usual traps. Very impressive.

ARTPOP Gaga pulls TFM/BTW Gaga off the hood away from the Conductor.

Take from that what you will.

On this day...the world really sees her duality. The Lady and the Gaga. DWAS and DISEASE. A day to cherish as a Lil Monster, i am very happy.

I think we should amplify this message! It's an angle the GP will be able to digest, and we'll be able to maximize DWAS' popularity for Disease.

Hope media articles pick up this angle, too!

Gaga's dancing between the walls in the end... I don't think she's moved that well in a looong time. (She was a bit stiff during Chromatica probably because of the choreo as well)

Honestly yes!!! I saw that look and I immediately went back a few seconds to replay it. Those contacts look amazing on her

For me it’s giving that one shot in the Closer music video (NIN) where Trent is tied up similarly...also, the Closer-like beat, comparisons people are making to NIN, and also lyrically similar to Closer in some ways, makes me think mayyyybe it’s not a coincidence..but I’m also a biased delulu mega fan of both so :huntyga:

Our mother JUST MOTHERED SO HARD :bradley:

The horror classic in daylight was so disgusting, provocative, and jarring with all the right notes of brightness, a pinch of humor, and sheen that made it pure, high level art.

The Die With A Smile live performance with those VOCALS. Gaga’s high notes on the second chorus and her falsetto really shined in a way we haven’t seen in years. Her and Bruno’s voices melted together beautifully and not to be shallow but can we talk about that WIG :messga:

The absolute SERVE of releasing LADY and GAGA on the same day. She said she’s an artist and you can’t put her in one box. To present such distinct, fully developed versions of yourself in such different products on the same day is a testament to the kind of human and artist Lady Gaga is :diane:

  • rinasawachanta changed the title to 🖤 Disease's MV is not a return to old-school Gaga, it's a totally novel approach
