Do the Gagas correspond to albums... or...

The ones in the room were like twins... so...

And did the one at the end come OUT of Mother Plague? or... did Mother Plague just puke on her? :max:

Initially that was what I was thinking too, different eras of Gaga attacking her. Though I did notice her tattoos were covered so instantly thought “STEFANI”

Plastic Flower

Anyway this MV is EVERYTHING :traumatica: it doesn't need any dancing, that can be done separately.

My mom got scared at the Jeepers Creepers Gaga :trollga: so it's a win for me.

This video was so powerful in its message, I loved it.

Also could the fact that there was no choreo mean Parris Goebel replaced Richie as main choreographer on tour? Just saying because I know there were some concerns that she would only be involved with the video, and not actually replacing Richie. So I think that’s a good sign.

Choreographers often take on creative director roles for projects that don't actually involve choreographed dancing, so I wonder if that is what Parris did for the Disease MV. For example, Ritchy "choreographed" Jazz & Piano even though there's no actual choreography in it.

I see the comments of it not being "grand" but I think it's it's intentional since she's giving a 2000s-2010s horror movie vibe.

*70s/80s horror

The film grain, setting, and costume choices are pulled straight from that era

There is so much great nuances from psychological point of view, so I as a future psychologist thrive rewatching it over and over again.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Westerosi

This video is a love letter to performance art. Gaga has outdone herself. Instead of pandering to a pop-princess audience, she has once again affirmed her position as the strongest leading female performance artist.

She tells the most compelling story in this film and uses her own body to do so with everything she's got, and by standing alone has showcased that she is and always has been, the show.

I am in love with this. For her to evolve in this way and pay homage to her own art form has moved me deeply, and I am forever grateful for her service to art.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

the snippet kinda gives I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me x Creep by Dannie Minogue.

sounds like she’s saying: i can’t see straight in the camera lights … i’ve been zombie-fied

I hear it too! From that I'm getting:
I can’t see straight in the camera lights, I could be your guide, i’ve been zombie-fied
Now i can’t see straight in the (neon lights/...time?), I could be your guide, i’ve been... (Frankensteined/zombie-fied?)

I can't :brat:

i'm honestly convinced the disease video was unavailable for the first 10 minutes so fans would flock DWAS beforehand

  • rinasawachanta changed the title to 🖤 Disease's MV is not a return to old-school Gaga, it's a totally novel approach
