People against camping?

I had a idea today that they could number the monster pit tickets so that the first person who buys the ticket online or however maybe calling gets first ticket and so on. I really have nothing against camping as I camped in Los Angeles. This idea would make it so that nobody camps anymore and gives everyone a chance!

Well, it is unsafe and potentially dangerous. I for one did camp out, and let me just say that it was a very challenging endeavor. We were outside for eight hours in seven degree weather.

I only did it because it's basically the possible way to get a good spot in the pit. I do not support camping in dangerous weather at all, but like I said, we didn't have a choice. :fat:

Yes system is definitely terrible. Next tour everyone should have an equal chance to get meet&greets, because most people aren't just able to put their lives on hold for a week and sit in a tent. I would rather pay.

I am not against people who go and wait a couple hours or maybe even a night if they are adults or with their parents and with good weather. I do not like the fact that teenagers are alone in dangerous parts of town in awful weather for a week with no supervision, it's dangerous to walk to your car nowadays in downtown, forget about staying there camping.

There are so many people against camping. It's so annoying that some of you are constantly complaining that people camp out. Well first of all there are little monsters than are calling the venue & telling them to tell the camping monsters to leave. Do you realize how rude & cruel that is, if someone is willing to camp through harsh weather in the freezing cold they are extremely dedicated & for people who are supposed to be supportive on other little monsters to talk constant **** on them, say that them being a key holder is unfair because they broke the rules. That's honestly horrible. Are you jealous? If you cared about being the key holder you would be out there camping a week before. Some of the comments I've seen about campers are just horrible. Get over it.

Sorry for spelling errors, on phone.

people who get mad at these people need a hobbie -jumps down-

On one hand, I agree with you, but on the other hand there are reasons I don't.

One thing a fan camping out for the Saint Paul BTWB pointed out was that could you IMAGINE what it would be like if they strictly enforced the 8am rule? It'd be a MAD RUSH for that number one spot, which would be very dangerous. (and you could even argue that it wouldn't be fair to fans with physical disabilities who might want to go for the key but wouldn't have the chance when put up against fast fans, and you could also argue that if that were the case it'd be easy for some very casual fan to get the key when there are fans who probably deserve it more )

I understand the argument of how camping is unfair, because not everyone's lives allow them to take the time to do such a thing and it doesn't mean they're any less dedicated than the people camping out for days or weeks at a time, but the alternative has just as many negative consequences.

Meet and greets only allow the fans who can afford it to get it, pulling people on stage only allows the fans who can get Gaga's attention to get it, the Pit Key only allows people with the ability to camp out to get it. When it comes to finding ways to meet someone in as high demand as Gaga, there's no 100% FAIR way to do it, unfortunately.

If you really think it's worth camping multiple days then more power to you but I think you just look foolish if you're camping more than like 4 days. Like you need to reevaluate your life if you're waiting that long just for half an hour with GaGa. I would camp for maybe 2 days if it meant being first but I went a bit crazy of boredom just waiting for 9 hours.

Eh, if it was somewhere nice and the weather was great, I wouldn't mind packing a bunch of books, journals, etc. and just hanging out with people I enjoy! It'd be like...urban camping with my favorite hobbies before meeting Gagz.

D'awww, I can't say I agree, but thanks! :shy:

OH, yeah if it was in an area with nice weather, I'd do it for longer. But I was talking St. Paul. I mean I guess if I had a tent with a heater it'd be fine but it would still be a lot of added hassle.

You have some valid points, but I kind of disagree. Some people have been really harsh with campers, that's true, but at the same time, other fans that are as dedicated as the campers can't stay there because they have lifes, school, work, friends and a family. It's not worth to risk your health or forget your personal life just to attend a concert.

Plus, no matter if it was ignored or not, the rule was to be there the day of the concert, not one week before the show. I think it's only fair for everyone to follow the rules and make everything easier for Gaga's team and the other fans.

There's no way in HELL I could have camped any longer than we did in Saint Paul! I'm such a pansy when it comes to cold weather.

A free-for-all is easier for Gaga's team compared to an organized line? Ok.

It's never going to be fair when it comes to thinks like this and god forbid a time where she actually does paid meet and greets because I'm certain they'll be threads made about how unfair is it that only people who can afford it can meet her/Gaga is a money grabber/she's changed ect.(It would be even worse if she stopped them all together!) Whether it be the key, paid for M&G's or something else, people are going to be angry about it for one reason or another.

I think everyone just has to deal and get on with it

Yup, only way is if I either had a lot of blankets and some more layers or if I just had a tent with a heater. It was FREEZING. I don't know how the **** those people with barely anything on made it.
