I mean there's literally 0 hype for this song, people outside the fanbase don't even know it exists :trollga:

I was at a Halloween pregame last night and ofc I put this on the queue, and none of the gays there even knew about the song. They were aged late 20s to 40s and only the people I came with knew about it (as they should :staymad:). I was really surprised.

Eww how dare they? My boyfriend is obsessed with this new single and he's more heavily into EDM compared to Pop.

Ouch. Yeah this will just come and go and I think they anticipated it hence the lack of moves from her and her team.

I guess they’ll try to re-launch the era in January maybe. Man this sucks ngl. Still a banger tho!

If they thought that, they wouldn't have bothered shooting a music video for it... they're just trying to play the long game with the rollout, which is a bad idea

i think this song need time, it's okay....

Katy's lead debuted with 2m streams following a month's worth of promo and a super high budget music video. Disease debuted with 4m with none of that. They are nowhere near the same.

SL had a better first 2 days let that sink in :awkney:

SL had a music video and generally a better rollout... Gaga was at least active during it.

And WW served OUT in its second day while Disease is just outside of the Top 20. It's not as bad as you guys make it out to be.

Exactly!

Disease post was literally the song cover and 'OUT NOW'... That's it!

Literally only 500K liked the post... No visuals, no interaction, nothing else

I feel like even the the Tik Toks were reposted by her team (I don't think she would know how to post them on IG).

Compare this to SL (which is a much weaker leak) and she was so much more active, there was a MV from the get go, there were physicals and merch from day 1... Etc. Those things create hype

Future Lovers

You all always preach art not charts until the charts come out and suddenly that’s all you care about.

Also, all songs tend to decline on the weekend. This isn’t news. Learn how this works or don’t join the conversation.

So many of y’all wanted Gaga to do down this industrial electronic route for so long. Did y’all genuinely think it would be smash hit with the GP? :smh:

I’m telling you right now that LG7 probably won’t be the super smash hit you desperately want it to be. It’ll do well, but if she continues this route (especially with songs like Abracadabra and Notorious Being, which don’t sound GP-friendly at all), it’s not going to have the insane global, cultural takeover you think.

She is so clearly making this album for her hardcore fans and so far it sounds incredible. LG7 could literally be her best album but if it doesn’t perform well, some of y’all will complain about it so much  I’m not ready for this era :triggered:

I think the album will do pretty well tbh

This. Millennial here, Madonna had a few hits when I was in college (Hung Up, 4 Minutes) and she was played in clubs and you heard it on the radio. In fairness, she did top the charts but she in no way dominated pop culture like the younger artists of the time. She popped back in to say Hi. Same for Gaga.

Enjoy and stop measuring her up to the current pop girlies. She did what she did at the start of her career and no one has measured up since. Let's enjoy her new music while supporting the newer generation because they need their own Gaga!

Not saying that isn't true, but Lady Gaga still has 9 years til she reaches that point in her career (just saying)... she's not that old

please don't come for me but since the last album chromatica it feels like gaga being forced to do pop music just to please her fans. I feel more passion in her jazz albums and making movies. disease is okayish but feels like leftovers from BTW

I think she likes being able to do both, and she's said as much... Harlequin was jazz, LG7 is experimental, theatrical pop.
